How JokeLaughs started
Lila Monroe was the kind of person who could kill a tense meeting with a single one-liner. Friends forwarded her jokes. Family group chats were basically her personal comedy channel. One afternoon in 2023, she went looking for a clean, fast, actually-funny joke site — and couldn’t find one that wasn’t buried under pop-ups, ads, and Comic Sans.
So she built JokeLaughs. What started as a weekend project turned into a proper home for anyone who thinks a well-timed pun is one of life’s underrated pleasures. No fluff, no filler — just jokes that land.
Today JokeLaughs has over 4,200 jokes across 10 categories, updated daily. Lila still reads every single one before it goes live. If it doesn’t make her at least smirk, it doesn’t make the cut.
